Getting Started
Join our Slack Community for real-time support and connect with other LittleHorse users!
Our entire platform is built around the LittleHorse Kernel: while many components can be used on their own, each component has integrations with the Kernel in order to provide a seamless developer experience. Therefore, we suggest that you first start your LittleHorse journey with the Kernel.
QuickStarts
If you just want to get your hands dirty and see the platform in action, we've created some quickstarts for you. Once again, we recommend getting started with the Kernel when just starting out with LittleHorse. We are glad you're here!
The Kernel
Write your first Task Worker and WfSpec, and run your first WfRuns with the LittleHorse Kernel.
Pony ID
Use the Pony ID Admin Console to create your first user and execute User Tasks in the Kernel.
LH Connect
An API Gateway and Apache Kafka Connectors to responsively trigger workflows in the Kernel.
LittleHorse Runtime
A convenient but powerful Quarkus-based runtime for apps using the Kernel and Pony ID.
In-Depth Concepts
Our quickstarts are great for getting started, but a curious developer might want to dive in-depth into the concepts of our Platform. Here are our founder's favorite pages in the documentation:
Kernel Concepts
Learn the core concepts of the LittleHorse Kernel, with practical examples in Java, Go, Python, and C#.
Pony ID Brokering
Learn how Pony ID can federate and broker users from your own Identity Provider into LittleHorse.
LH Connect Components
Understand how the core components of LittleHorse Connect allow you to capture and respond to events.
